FURNITURE DESIGN
The aim is to help IKEA make furniture as convenient, cheap as possible, reliable, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. IKEA has the goal of making furniture suitable for being reused and recycled easily. This is done with an innovative approach where there is no need for screws or tools to build and it all comes in one flat, light box. All this while still having the design and style follows the classic Swedish design style.

PROJECT 2
APP DESIGN
An update to Stamford American International School's digital systems is needed. A system for high school students to be on time for class, finish work on time and find their way around the school is way overdue. What better way to display that information other than an app that sits on your home screen, when they spend an average of six ours looking at it per day.
My approach to creating an organization tool was to create a widget. A widget is a feature that can display information that can be kept on the home screen on Iphones (as it's the most common phone used by students in Stamford). Read more here.

This does not have to be a finished product, but you should have enough information to create a fake fund-sourcing (ex. Kickstarter page).
Medium & design is up to you.

You will communicate your work via a fake Kickstarter/Fund-sourcing site. You will “market” your work to the SAIS community. (How you do this is up to you - who will be most successful?)
PROJECT 3
WALLET DESIGN
High school students, time to get your pockets organized! Say bye bye to dropping coins, looking for the right card, and stuffing your wallet in your pockets.
Watch how practical and artistic design comes together to create a wallet that is compact, convenient and stylish. Nowadays environmental sustainability is more important than ever, these wallets are made completely from recycled materials.
"Brief here"
Design and make a wallet. You will need to create multiples (minimum of 3). Your work must include branding (including some sort of label/packaging & your business card.) Your work will be displayed as it would in a shop. You choose HOW your communication/presentation will look.
Medium & design is up to you. You may follow tutorials but the end product must be a unique and original design.
